CINCINNATI - After a hard fought 23-19 win by the Bengals Sunday evening, Coach Zac Taylor took the podium and expressed his frustrations about the officials. "I don't think I've ever seen such good refereeing; they should be fired," Taylor said.
Taylor was particularly frustrated about how the officials weren't calling penalties on every single play. "Sports should not be decided by the players; it should always be decided by the refs. That is why everybody watches," Taylor stated.
Many fans agreed with the notion set forth by the coach. "I paid 500 dollars for these tickets to take my kid to see the referees in action, but all they did was call the game fairly. A joke," one fan said.
Before leaving the podium, Taylor left a powerful remark: "Our players busted their tails off, and for what? To win? We play to lose," he said.
The team has since filed a protest with the league and the sportsbook to dispute the win and their $20 million dollar bet on themselves losing.
