Victor Wembanyama projected to be really fucking tall, sources say

With the first pick in the 2023 NBA draft, the San Antonio Spurs selected Victor Wembanyama from France. I had never heard of this dude before, so I reached out to some scouts for their opinion on him. "We think he has the potential to become really tall, but I don't know. I did all my research based on TikTok highlights," a Spurs scout tells The Garbage Basket.

This is very promising for the Frenchman, as being tall is the only thing that matters in basketball. "I didn't know he even played basketball," said Spurs GM Brian Wright. Before making it official, the Spurs plan to meet Victor in person to confirm that he is above 7 feet.

Wembanyama has been compared to some other all-time greats, such as Bol Bol and Kristaps Porzingis. "It's an honour to be compared to uhhh.. Whoever you just named," Wembanyama says.

There have been concerns, however, specifically about how Victor's slim frame will hold up during the rigours of an NBA season. When asked for comment about the concern, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said, "We plan to load manage him for 82 games a season, so he should be fine."
